FILE – In this Sept. 4, 2018, file photo, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is sworn-in before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh writes an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal to address some of the controversy surrounding him.

In that editorial, which was published Thursday, Kavanaugh wrote that he was honored to stand at the White House alongside his family when he was picked by President Trump to serve on the nation’s highest court.

He also commented on the allegations, saying he and his family have been subjected to vile threats adding his time in college has been ridiculously distorted.

Kavanaugh went on to say moving forward the American people can count on him to be hardworking, open minded, independent and dedicated to the constitution.
